Eco Power and Water Ltd are in the process of installing the first of 10 hydro power plants in Scotland generating over 500mw of power to the national grid. The first EPW Ltd hydro power plant will be at Leperstone Dam in Kilmacolm. The hydro power system will incorporate a new turbine design that delivers energy from a gravity fed hydro turbine. The new pipeline hydro turbine can be installed in the existing dam wall using new low cost design technology.
Pipeline generators increase the energy yield of hydro systems through maximising the efficency of the water flow from the source and in the turbine supply pipe.
WES Hydro Power Pipeline Generator
The new unique flexibility of WES Hydro Power Pipeline design can accommodate multiple configurations and flow systems. This enables the WES Hydro Power Pipeline design to be used in a broad range of applications for municipal, industrial, irrigation and desalination. Hydro Power delivers 2 x 3 times the output of Solar, Wind or Tidal.
For maximum efficiency and energy output, the renewable energy generated by can be used off-grid, fed back into the grid or used directly to power devices and machinery, such as pumps. The pipeline control system can stop or slow down the turbine if and when necessary allowing for source water supply control. Dam / Reservoir water level monitoring and control comes as standard with the WES Hydro Power Pipeline system.
On-site Battery Power Storage Systems
Battery storage technologies are essential to speeding up the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy. Battery storage systems will play an increasingly pivotal role between green energy supplies and responding to electricity demands.
Battery storage, or battery energy storage systems (BESS), are devices that enable energy from renewables, like solar and wind, to be stored and then released when the power is needed most. Lithium-ion batteries, which are used in mobile phones and electric cars, are currently the dominant storage technology for large scale plants to help electricity grids ensure a reliable supply of renewable energy. We’ve begun deploying this technology with heavier equipment, working with Viridi Parente – a company that makes battery storage systems for industrial, commercial and residential buildings.

With the cost of electricity rising more companies are considering owning their own power supply to supply their own companies or in the case of landlords supplying their tenants where both savings and profit can be made. Eco Power and Water Ltd has also formed a Energy Consortium that companies can join and enjoy the benefits buying energy at discounted prices.
Data Storage Cooling Systems
We design, supply, and install Closed and Open-Loop cooling systems for Data Storage facilities. Desalination cooling systems are also available.
We also supply BLUE WATER storage tank systems that utilise water from our own reservoirs.
